5-series Workshop with Amelia Foster
A 5-part series focusing on education, experiential learning, and empowerment for both active healing and prevention of pelvic floor dysfunction in women. Appropriate and modifiable for women who are currently pregnant, throughout post-partum recovery, and across the lifespan. This program will include education on the pelvic floor and related anatomy, self-assessment techniques to explore your pelvic health, yoga and pilates based movement therapy, and self care strategies such as self massage, meditation and more.
This class is for you if...
You experience leaking (even “every once in a while”)
You are currently pregnant OR recently gave birth
You experience discomfort or heaviness in the vaginal or rectal area
You have frequent low back or pelvic pain
You want to learn how to strengthen your “core” muscles in a safe and effective way
You have been referred to pelvic floor physical therapy but are wary about what it entails
You have no symptoms, but are motivated to learn more about your body and prevent future issues!
Each class includes…
Educational content and pelvic floor “lifehacks”
Instruction in self-assessment and treatment
30+ minutes of yoga and/or Pilates-based movement to support the pelvic floor muscles
10 minutes of guided meditation.
